Lierse (6-2-13) welcome Club Bruges (13-4-4) to Antwerp, as the Belgian Pro League returns after the short break. After four heavy defeats Lierse managed a win over Mechelen on Boxing day, to lift them out of the relegation zone. Home form is decent, but the better teams do tend to come and beat them. Bruges ended the year with their first defeat in eight, in a big shock going down to lowly Waasland Beveren. It has left them five points off the top, and playing catch up with Standard Liege. Defender Frans misses the match suspended for Lierse.
