Another side with a reduced recovery from Sunday’s FA Cup travails. Conference sides all complained (and rightly so) about the short turnaround from a Sunday game to a Tuesday Conference match. The FA were having none of it and as a consequence sides must take a 48 hour break between games. Forest Green were beaten on Sunday in a tough 90 minutes against Scunthorpe. In the league they are in 7^th with 31 points. At home they show 4 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats. Recent form sees 3 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss.  Aarran Racine and James Jennings are the only players missing. Eastleigh are unbeaten in 5 games now. They are up to 8^th and just 2 points behind the home side with a game in hand. Away form for them is the only concern for me. They show 1 win, 2 draws and 4 defeats.  Eastleigh were the real big odds move at the start of the season as they signed up a load of league players and real conference quality. Its took them a while to gel but they could really start to motor now. Craig Stanley as well as Ben Strevens and Jai Reason deliver quality in midfield. While in attack James Constable offers a huge threat as does Jack Midson and Craig McCallister.

Evenly matched this one but the edge for me is that this is another short turnaround match. This time for home side Forest Green. I think Eastleigh are starting to deliver on their promise to challenge at the top. We get them here with a 0.25 start,  so get paid on a win – with a draw we get half a win and half stake returned.
