Laying Tottenham after a midweek League Cup or Europa League slog is usually a good bet but this week is different as only 1 player who started in midweek is likely to feature. Harry Kane is the name on all the Spurs fans lips after the striker bagged his 8^th of the season. This despite him not starting a single league game. Spurs are in 14^th with 11 points which is a poor return for them. They have at home seen 2 wins and 3 defeats – again a strange figure. Last 6 matches in League sees just one win to go with 2 draws and 3 losses. Out for them here will be Bentaleb and Walker. Aston Villa are in real dire straits.They have only managed 4 goals in their 9 fixtures. They are a point below Spurs but are playing poor. A tough recent fixture list has seen the defeats pile up and more worrying is the fact they have not scored in 5 consecutive games (conceding 13 goals in the process) away form for Villa sees 2 wins and 3 losses. Out for them here are some big names with Delph a key component and out for a while. Hutton is out at RB while CD Senderos is likely to miss too. Key striker Benteke is back but looks a shadow of himself as he battles to regain match fitness and more importantly sharpness.

Spurs look great odds here and I think they are one of the bets of the day. Villa in desperate shape and they really need the Benteke of old as soon as possible. Noone else looks a threat and apart from dead balls I don’t see them scoring at all.
