TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Everton started the season in excellent shape but have fallen away recently.  Their injury worries have all but cleared up with just Anichebe and Neville still missing.  They’ll hope to fight back into the hunt for a top 4 place but need to turn some of their draws into wins.  Too many times this year they have been in control of a game only to let the opposition back into it and end with a draw when they really should have won.

Tottenham have been very inconsistent this season with numerous runs of excellent form followed by poor form.  They are in one of their positive runs at the moment, winning 3 straight games and will be hoping to keep that going this week.  They are struggling with injuries though with Bale, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, Kaboul and Parker all missing.  These are all strong players who would arguable be first choice, so it’s a testament to the quality in depth at Spurs that they can still be winning without these players.

Everton are favourites as the home side despite their recent struggles.  If you look at their home record you’ll see they are unbeaten in 7 matches, but have drawn 4 of them.

I think there is a case for an Everton home win here with Spurs numerous injuries and think the 2.10 on offer from Paddy Power is value.
