Liverpool go into this one with improved confidence after an early loss. They have 2 wins and a defeat so far. With the expected loss to Man City away, 3-1 although it was a deserved loss they did show some nice touches early on. The opening day was a tight 2-1 win over Southampton, but the Saints have since gone on and looked good so not too bad from Liverpool. Last week though was the best performance so far. A totally dominant 3-0 win at Spurs, Liverpool controlled for long periods and it was a really excellent win. Bad news comes from the England camp though, Daniel Sturridge picked an injury and will sit out. Flanagan misses out too and huge doubts over Skrtel and Glen Johnson. Liverpool are well stocked in defence though, with equal back up replacements available. Aston Villa have been good so far this season. Solid in defence and very well organized.  They have won two and drawn one with just 1 goal conceded.  Wins over Stoke and Hull were well deserved, a 0-0 home draw with Newcastle was poor though with  the only highlight the whistle at full time. Big loss of  Villa here could be Ron Vlaar who is likely to miss out with injury.  He is impossible for this Villa side to replace. Long term missing men Benteke and Kozak are not near a return.

Aston Villa have done well in recent years at Anfield. Here though I think Liverpool will have to much energy. Villa have had a great start its true but they haven’t faced an attack as strong as this Liverpool. Balotelli will make his Anfield debut and im sure and I think he can be a huge asset here. I cant see Villa causing Liverpool to many problems.
