If you would have said these two sides would be contesting 7^th and 8^th at the start of season you would be forgiven for making me laugh. Southampton had an excellent 1^st half of the season but have been a bit mixed 2^nd half. However they are certain of 8^th and am sure they would have took that on gameday 1. Home form for them shows 8 wins, 5 draws and 5 losses. Recent form reads 3 wins, 1 draws and 2 losses. Out for Saints will be Ramirez, Yoshida and Rodriguez.   Man Utd sit in 7^th position and can overtake Spurs in 6^th with a win and a Spurs loss. Away form for United reads 10 wins, 3 draws and 5 losses, no team in the league has won more away games. Form for United is 4 wins and 2 losses. Man Utd will miss Jones, Rafael, Evans and Rooney.

Southampton posses a good side and have to be respected but I cannot have them favourites over Man Utd. Many times this season in the right games I have opposed Southampton. They are consistently overpriced and I have taken advantage. Here again they are too short. United have Van Persie back and can play a full strength side with just Rooney absent. Giggs blooded young striker James Wilson last match and the debutant rewarded him with a 2 goal salvo. One of the bets of the day here, United to win.
