Stoke is without Beardsly and Crouch for this tie. Both players would have been starters. Hughes of course have good replacements ready, but in a team struggeling to impress going forward Crouch with his two goals will be missed. I am also questioning the energy levels of Stoke. As we know they are a physical side with a lot of energy. They played a very strong eleven against Southampton in the League Cup this midweek. A match that went to the wire. Was that so smart? I doubt it. West ham can take advantage.
West ham is impressing everyone. They have physical presence, speed and ability in their squad! Sakho who has been in tip top form for them is a doubt, but he is likely to partner Valencia up front again. To be honest, I really enjoy watching the Hammers play this season. I can't remember last time I said that in public, that's for sure.
I could have gone West Ham +0.25 but here I want to take some risk. They are the better side for me. They can compete physically with Stoke, and up front they are MILES ahead when it comes to chance creation and goal conversion. Stoke will fight, but a losing battle I think.
