Augsburg is struggling at the moment. They have not played that badly, but they are simply not creating enough chances. So far they have four points after six matches, and are down in 14th place with 1-1-4 and 6-9 in goal difference. Their only win came at home against Hannover, a team that is struggling even more. The two other home matches were lost 0-1 to Hertha Berlin and Ingolstadt. Augsburg is also playing in the Europa League group stage, and lost their first match last weekend 3-1 away to Athletic Club. On Thursday the Serbian side Partizan will visit, så there is no rest for the relatively thin squad. For today’s match they are still missing the striker Werner, while Bobadilla (another striker) is doubtful.

The status for Hoffenheim so far is 0-2-4 and a goal difference of 5-11. The challenge for them is similar to the one for Augsburg, to create and convert chances. Hoffenheim managed a draw in their last match at home to Borussia Dortmund, and that at least is a result to build upon. Otherwise the results are not impressive, despite playing relatively well against Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich (still they lost both matches) they only have two points so far. They lost 3-1 at home to Werder Bremen and 3-1 away to Mainz, two teams that belong in the middle of the table. Hoffenheim has no new injuries or suspensions to report.

This match seems quite evenly matches, but Augsburg has won the last three at home against Hoffenheim and gets my bet. If you want you can take Augsburg -0.25 at odds 28/29 (1.97) with BetVictor.
