It looked like Hoffenheim was keeping up quite good with their opponents in the first to matches of the season (Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich). They lost both matches by a narrow margin, but showed promising stuff on the field. The third match against Darmstadt ended in a goalless draw, but Hoffenheim had deserved to win it. But since then things have not gone that well, they have lost 3-1 to two mediocre teams (Werder Bremen and Mainz), and this does not bode well as tonight’s visitor is Borussia Dortmund. For this match their important striker Volland and defensive midfielder Schwegler are both doubtful.
Borussia Dortmund has been unstoppable so far this season. Five matches, five wins, and 18-3 in goal difference. Their offensive capabilities are world class! For tonight’s match Marco Reus is back and match fit, and will probably start. Sven Bender is also back in the midfield, but he will probably start on the bench. Their defender Subotic is still injured and not yet ready.
Borussia Dortmund will most likely control the play, it will surprise me greatly if they don’t. If Kevin Volland plays, then Hoffenheim has the necessary players in him plus Vargas and Schmid to be able to challenge the Dortmund defence on counter-attacks. So Hoffenheim might score tonight, their big problem is that Dortmund will probably score more goals, even on a mediocre day (and even more goals if they really go for it).
Dortmund -1.5 has odds of 39/40 (1.975) with BET365 at the moment, and this seems pretty ok even though it could have been a bit higher. As an alternative you can watch the match live, like I will do, and hope nobody scores within the first 15 minutes, and then bet on the -1.25 line which will refund half the stake if Dortmund only wins by one goal.
