Atletico Madrid face Leverkusen in a difficult situation. They lost 1-0 in Germany and with them not scoring an away goal will be wary of conceding. Madrid so far in Champ League have won 4, drawn 1 and lost 2. Home form has been exceptional with 3 wins from 3 and not a single goal conceded (10 goals scored) – Out for them here will be Tiago and Godin suspended with Saul Niguez and Siqueira out injured. Leverkusen had the lions share of possession in Germany but chances and half chances were few and far between. They know a goal would mean Atletico needing three and I think keeping it tight and counter attack will be the order of the day. Leverkusen are without Kruse and have doubts of Spahic, Jedvaj and Bender.
I have full confidence behind Atletico at home as they destroyed Juventus, Malmo and Olympiakos at home already. With a packed and partisan crown I see a low scoring win for the home side, an Atletico speciality.
