Champions League game day 2 and it’s a low key match up. However it should be an interesting affair between two decent sides. Home are Basel of Switzerland. They are top of the Swiss Super league with 45 points from 20 games and hold a 8 point lead at the top. However league has been dormant since last week after a month lay off and Basel could be a bit rusty. Schar is suspended for the home side who have Ivanov out injured too. Champions league form sees 2 wins, 1 draw and 3 defeats. They did manage a win and a draw against Liverpool in the group stage. Porto are in 2nd in Primeira Division in Portugal. They have only lost once in last 12 games – a run that includes 10 wins and 1 draw. In Champions League so far this year they have not lost yet - a run of 8 games that includes 6 wins and 2 draws. Beating the likes of Bilbao home and away plus Lille. They will miss Adrian Lopez for this one.
Although Basel do have solid home form Porto have win at the San Memes in UCL this season already and that is a fantastic achievement. I don’t see many goals here but a 1-0 away win looks a good bet, I take the -0.25 which gets us paid on a win. A draw sees half stake returned.
