This is the second leg of the 2013/2014 UEFA Champions League Quarter finals. As I predicted: PSG won the first leg rather convincingly 3-1. Actually, had you had followed my four betting tips for the champions league last match day you would nearly have doubled your money. An investment of €400 would have turned into a win of €786.

Chelsea v PSG: Team news & Form

Ramires (Box to box midfielder) is suspended for Chelsea. Eto’o (Striker) could return after his hamstring injury. Cole (Full back) could return to the squad too.

Ibrahimovic (striker) is injured for PSG. Full back Van der Wiel returns.

Both sides won convincingly this weekend, so I have no question marks over form here.

Chelsea v PSG: Run of play

Chelsea can’t be too defensive minded here. All though they got an away goal in Paris they are in need of at least two goals to progress to the Champions League semifinals. I think they will be aiming to take the game to PSG.

The visitors may miss the big Swede Ibrahimovic, but they have a great defense and have seen offensive players such as Lavezzi, Pastore and Lucas Moura hit form recently. I take it for granted they will park the bus and try to punish Chelsea if they get too high up on the pitch.

In all fairness the first leg was relatively close. PSG was only slightly better, and Chelsea got punished for personal defensive mistakes. I would also say their central defense was outpaced by PSG, and that the defensive mistakes reflected that. Given that Chelsea must dare even more here offensively I do think we’ll see lots of sprint duels during the match. That does not bode well for Cahill and Terry. I am going for PSG yet again. This time at odds of 4.74 with Pinnacle!

I like PSG because they are so defensively solid while at the same time offering both pace and power up front. With eleven wins in a row it is a really confident PSG that enters Stamford Bridge. Chelsea on the other hand does not strike me as a side that is optimized for the given setting. Mourinho lacks a through and through goal scorer, and so far I personally think the Blues have looked better on the counter. That will not do here!
