Such is the level of quality in this group that every team must beat CSKA Moscow home and away. Bayern Munich look to have the group for me with 2 1-0 wins already. Roma face a head to head with City and for me CSKA look destined for bottom spot and no points. Moscow lost 5-1 in Roma in a capitulation. Last match was a bit stronger but a 1-0 home loss to Bayern was at least expected. Man City must win this one as they have 1 point to show from 2 games. The away loss to Bayern was fair enough, but in truth they were lucky to take a point at home to a vibrant Roma.
For me a win is a must against CSKA – any side that slips up to the Russians will struggle to qualify for sure. CSKA are so far below the level of the other three.
