REAL MADRIDV ATLETICO MADRID: PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIP goals

The first ever Champions league final contested between teams from the same city, and Lisbon will feel like Madrid on Saturday when the two sets of supporters converge on the city. Real Madrid finished third in La Liga three points adrift of Atletico, but did hand out a 5-0 two leg hammering to their city rivals in the Copa del Rey semi- final in February, before going on to win that competition. In the Champions League after topping a tricky looking group, Real have beaten three German sides in the knockout phase to get to the final.  Thrashing Schalke 9-2 they beat Dortmund 3-2 and showed real class in defeating Bayern 5-0 in the semis. Against Bayern the 4-0 away leg win was particularly impressive against last years winners and favourites for this seasons competition.  Atletico Madrid achievement in winning La Liga was massive, and if they can double up here it would be quite remarkable, though the injury and almost certain miss of Diego Costa is a hammer blow to their chance. After topping their group in qualifying, Atletico have seen off Milan 5-1, Barcelona 2-1 and Chelsea 3-1 to set up the dream final. Real will be without Alonso(mid) due to suspension and Pepe (def), Benzema and Ronaldo(str) are injury concerns, though expect the latter two to be fit to play. Atletico will almost certainly be without top scorer Diego Costa but Turan(mid) should be fit.

Under 2.5 goals at 1.75(3/4)Unibet could prove a shrewd goals bet as Atletico bid to keep things tight, especially if as expected Costa does not make the side. Their best hope will be to defend stoutly and try to catch Real on the counter attack. With the likes of Ronaldo, Bale, Di Maria etc Real will push from the outset, but patience could be the key for both sides, and Under 2.5 goals looks a good bet.
