Europa League 1^st qualifying round and we move to Kazakhstan for our 1^st selection. Aktobe have won the league title five times and impressively for a team outside mainland Russia they have won 2 Soviet titles.  They haven’t won title in three seasons with a 2^nd and 3^rd place in recent years. This season is well underway but they are off the pace with 8^th spot of 12 teams and are a distant 24 points off the pace, being nearer to bottom than the top. Aktobe have not won a league game in 7 matches, drawing 2 and losing 5. They have conceded 19 goals in that period. UEFA ranks them at 187 in Europe with a rating of 7.97. Over the last few seasons in Europe they  have not gotten past the 1^st stage with losses to Legia Warsaw (Poland) defeated in both legs without scoring. Then Nomme Kalju of Estonia 1-0 over two legs saw them exit the competition. MTK Budapest have won the national title 23 times but none since 2008. They have yet to start their season so will be behind the match fitness of Aktobe.  MTK have also struggled over the past few seasons in Europe. Leaving at the 1^st stage in the last three attempts. Losing to Fenerbahce of Turkey, Senica of Slovakia and Vojvodina of Serbia.

It’s a long way to travel for MTK Hungary and that plus the possible match fitness differences are my only worries here. However fit Aktobe are they are playing woefully with 14 goals conceded in the last three league games alone! No wins in 7 games and struggling near the bottom of Premier League. I take MTK  at 0 at 1.95 or 19-20 with Ladbrokes.
