Finally Jurgen Klopp gets to see his best three players on the pitch together and things suddenly look a lot rosier.  The two world class players in the squad for me are Coutinho and Sturridge and when fit they would be included in every side in the EPL.  Sturridge is blighted by injury but when fit there is no better finisher. Indeed only Torres and Suarez can better Sturridge’s games per goal ratio at Liverpool, Even Fowler and Owen are behind him for strike rate.  Klopp returns to his homeland with his team in good spirits after a best result of the season. A 6-0 away win at Aston Villa. That puts LFC  in 8^th with 38 points from26 games.  In Europe this season they have played 6 games with 2 wins and 4 draws. They may seem low key for them but they did play fringe and youth players most of the way through the competition. Now its at the business end all focus should be towards this. They don’t have Skrtel, Allen, Gomez, Lallana, Lovren and Stewart here. Augsburg are in 14^th in Bundesliga with 21 points from 21 games.  They have 3 wins and 3 losses in Europa this season. Scoring 12 but conceding 11. Augsburg miss a few also as they have Baier, Callsen-Bracker, Framberger, Moravek and Schuster out.

Liverpool have the quality and the form now to outdo Augsburg over two legs but I don’t believe it’s an easy take for them. They still cannot defend properly and the Germans will be keen to exploit the flimsy red backline. Liverpool have many attacking options of their own and an away goal is vital her.
