One of the best games of the day in Europa Liga with a tie that wouldn’t be out of place 2 or 3 rounds down the line. We have Netherlands Go Ahead Eagles hosting a huge name from days gone by of Ferencvaros of Hungary. The Eagles of Deventer find themselves in 2^nd division of Dutch league after losing relegation play off games. They have no history of play in Europe so will look forward to this game against the Hungarians. Ferencvaros take their place in Europa after finishing runners up in the league.  They won both domestic cups last year though. They are on 28 titles after an ultra-successful run but have not taken the title since 2004. In Europe they have a ridiculous amount of experience as a club after 140 matches with 60 wins, 29 draws and 51 losses. Recent years have seen barren times with qualification losses to the likes of Sliema Malta, Rijeka Croatia and MTZ Minsk Belarus.

 

Bit of a strange game with Eagles relegated and Ferencvaros more of a name than an actual threat. The Hungarians will play the 2^nd leg in empty stadium after fan problems. For me the Dutch are false underdogs here and the pure value play is the home side.  Eagles +0.25 at 1.85 is the bet.
