Liverpool make the short trip up the M62 to try and finish the job they started last week at Anfield. A 2-0 win puts them in a commanding position but they really should have finished the tie off. Man Utd have David de Gea to thank for keeping the score down as it could have easily been 3 or 4 nil. Man Utd had a tough assignment at the weekend and drew 1-1 with West Ham. Liverpool had a weekend off and the players took some valuable rest and recuperation. United miss Shaw, Valencia, Rooney and Young. Liverpool miss Ings and Lucas for this one.
Man Utd were totally awful in the 1st leg at Anfield and really should be out of the tie. A mixture of poor finishing by Liverpool and some excellent keeping by de Gea kept them in the tie. Here at Old Trafford the home side have to attack and Liverpool can afford to be patient. Any away goals will effectively kill the tie. I take Liverpool at draw no bet at 2.07 Pinnacle.
