Down to the last the last four in the World Cup and it’s a South America v Europe showdown in each game. Hosts Brazil face up to the mighty German’s in our 1st preview.

BRAZIL SO FAR IN THE WORLD CUP

Three wins and two draws for Brazil so far. Some promising performances but some bad points in there too.  Good against Cameroon, Croatia and Colombia but average against Mexico and Chile. Brazil look really shakey at the back but have yet to be really tested. They have scored 10 and conceded 4 with only Mexico failing to score against them. Only Chile had a proper go at them and they did look beatable.

GERMANY SO FAR IN THE WORLD CUP

Identical record for Germany to Brazil so far with three wins and two draws. Germany were very strong indeed against Portugal and France. Gave adequate performances against Algeria, USA and Ghana. They have looked a little suspect themselves so far which is unlike Germany. They have however been located mainly in the North of Brazil and are battling the elements also. Ten goals scored for Germany and three conceded.

TEAM NEWS

Huge problems for Brazil who lose skipper Thiago Silva, Neymar and Willian.  Dante will come in for Silva whole Scolari faces a real dilemma in the attacking postions. Fred has been awful so far and Hulk not much better.  Willian was the man to replace Neymar so the incoming man is likely to be Bernard. With Hernanes possibly coming in also.  Back up man Shkrodan Mustafi the only doubt for Germany.

RUN OF PLAY

Dante will arguably shore up the Brazil backline. I don’t doubt Brazil will miss Silva but with the loss of Neymar they may be a bit more solid defensively. Brazil have serious offensive problems with Fred and Hulk misfiring and 4 goal man Neymar out. Brazil actually seem more dangerous from dead balls with David Luiz from free kicks and the defenders attacking corners well. Germany will play as they usually do and look to get in and behind Brazil. A fascinating matchup in store for us here.

BRAZIL v GERMANY BETTING TIPS

Brazil will have the massive home support again and the conditions will suit. They are however struggling in all departments with missing me and misfiring men. They have got away with it so far but I think the Germans will be too wiley for them. Colombia were pulling them apart at will and I believe Germany will score for sure. I take a long ball game here as I see this going into extra time at least. A draw for me is the value bet.

Back Draw at 23/10 or 3.30 with bet365.

At current prices my betting tip has to be draw.  Far too much at stake here and if the game is level going into the last quarter neither side will really gamble I feel.

BET 365 also offers up to £200 in the form of a 100% matching deposit betting bonus to all new clients
