Predictions

This is a World Cup Qualifier from the CONCACAF region. Both sides are currently not in a qualifying position as they hold fifth and sixth in the group. The top three are directly qualified, and the fourth team has to go through another playoff.

Going into this tie Mexico in fifth has done slightly better of the two. The bottom line says three draws so far for them. Jamaica stands with two draws and a loss. Mexico also played 2-2 against Nigeria in a friendly recently, making it six draws in a row for them overall.

Jamaica has no special team news to report. Tremaine Stewart, Demar Phillips og Jason Morrison will sit out., but I don't rate that a problem. Hernandez of United was back on track with two goals just recently after a bit of a goal drought, and here Dos Santos of Mallorca should be available for selection too. 

In the reverse fixture the sides played 0-0.

Betting Tips

Mexico is definitely expected to be the better side of the two, and one can also choose to look at their six game draw streak as them being unbeaten in that interval too. I see Mexico having most of the possession here, the Jamaican side hasn't shown super skills with the ball at their feet so far in the Qualification. Jamaica will however defend fiercly, and they have pace up front to create danger on breaks.

That combination of arguments makes it less interesting going for the home win. Mexico has however not produced enough lately for a 1x2 bet. Especially not at the low odds available in the market. Jamacia can easily counter in one, and I am not sure if Mexico can create enough chances to get the win then.

For me the value is in the draw. That is therefore also my betting tips. 5/2 (3.50) is available with BET365, and given 0-0 in the reverse fixture and five out of the six last qualification matches (combined for the two teams) ending draw, that has to be considerable upside.
