Derby time! Inter Milan fielded their best side on Thursday against Cluj to ensure progress in the Europa League. That mission was accomplished (3-0, 5-0 on aggregate). In the Serie A things aren't that rosy. In their last fifteen Serie A games they are 5-4-6. And in February Internazionale has lost 4-1 away to Siena and 4-1 away to Fiorentina. It must be said however that Inter is still a very capable side, and they are still in contention for playoff for the Champions League.
Pereira (Defender) is out for Inter Milan due to suspension. Milito (Striker), Samuel (Defender) and Mudyinyagi (Midfielder) are out injured still.
AC Milan has been on fire since the Winter break (7-2-1), and the way they took down Barcelona in midweek was simply wow! Here they will have Balotelli (four goals in three starts) back as well. AC Milan will still miss defenders Bonera and Antonini. Midfielders Nocerino, Flamini and De Jong are still out too. The squad has however enough depth to cope with that.
Since, and including 2011 they have played against each other at their shared stadium (San Siro) five times in the Serie A. 3-0-2 is the facit so far! Actually, the last draw between them came way back in 2004. That is now twenty matches ago.

AC Milan is going into this as favorites. The market started with odds around 2.50-2.60 (6/4 - 8/5) but now most respectable books are 2.30 (13/10) or lower. I suspect those odds will fall even more closer to kick off as more and more punters pile onto AC Milan.
The key here is to understand this is truly a derby match. Pride is at stake. Determination and will power is what this is about. I think the value on AC Milan is non existing at the moment, and most likely it will go from bad to worse. My money is on Inter. Remember three out of the last five have been won by Inter. Milan has been favorites in many of those encounters.
