Juventus (15-1-1) have won nine in a row in the league to open up a five point lead over Roma at the top of the table. They had gone eight games without conceding, until they did in the 4-1 win at Atalanta last time. A win here would take them eight points clear, and would put one hand on retaining the title. At home they have an unblemished record, winning all eight games, while conceding just four. Roma (12-5-0) are still unbeaten, but after winning their opening ten matches, their last seven played have contained five draws. They have only conceded seven all season in their seventeen games, and this will see a stern test of their defensive steel in a game they cannot really afford to suffer their first loss in. Pirlo should return for Juventus following injury, and only Barzagli(def) is doubtful. Roma miss Balzaretti(def) and Caprari(str) with injury.
