England v Norway U21 predictions

England let Italy run the game in their first match of the tournament. The English defended well throughout and created some good chances on their own but it wasn't to be for them. Here Danny Rose (Spurs) and Tom Ince (Blackpool) are back from suspension. Wilfried Zaha (Man Utd) is most likely back as well. That should give Stuart Pearce and this England side added firepower for sure. 

Norway was totally dominant against Israel 11 against 11, but the Ref hurt them with some very strict decisions. A fairly soft penalty and an even softer sending off didn't exactly improve the chances of this very talented Norway side. The side will still miss the defensive Haavard Nordtveit (Gladbach) and the more attacking trio of Valon Berisha (Salzburg), Markus Henriksen (AZ) and Joshua King (Blackburn) as they're on duty with the Norwegian senior squad. Vegar Eggen Hedenstad is suspended due to his red card against Israel. Thomas Rogne should be back in defense however after not starting against Israel.

England beat Norway narrowly home and away in the qualification. The Norwegian side was however never outplayed, and could easily have gotten a result or two against the more known players in the English side.

I think this will be a fairly open game possession wise even if Norway miss several (at this level) top players. I wouldn't be surprised if Norway create a few chances either, and possibly scores one either. However, the Norwegian defense seemed so shaky against Israel at times I think they'll be in for trouble with Ince and Zaha running at them. I think that will be their downfall here. I take England at 1.76 (19/25) with Betsson on the 1x2.
