Russia v Germany predictions and betting tips
Russia were outplayed both against Spain (0-1) and the Netherlands (1-5) in this U21 European Championship. Against the Netherlands they got a man sent off early in the second half though, and it was after this most of the damage was done. Here they'll miss Chicherin (who was sent off last matchday). Belyaev is a doubt. Germany played two OK matches against both Spain and Netherlands but were denied any results as their opponents scored late winners. As I wrote in the first Germany prediction of the tournament; their lack of firepower up front is clear. Here they'll miss Mlapa (top scorer in qualification), Mortiz (midfielder) and Kolasniac (defender).
As both sides are out of the running for the Semis, this can never really be a game for the biggest of stakes. I am sure both sides will tinker a bit with the first eleven, but that should favor Germany. Their squad is simply better.
Germany gets the nod based on their overall performances and better squad depth. I take a seemingly generous 1.90 (9/10) offered by BET365.
