Another game for opposing Southampton, but only when the price is right. Here they travel to Stoke at the Britannia and Ronald Koeman has already spoken of changes for this one. Southampton are in great form but for me they are too short for this one. Stoke are going for their strongest eleven after Hughes has revealed he wants some cup progression. This is an even match for me and maybe only slight favourites to progress at best for me on Southampton. Odds show 1.62 Saints and 2.20 Stoke and for me that’s wrong. Glen Whelan and Robert Huth are out for the home side while Saints have no injuries from the last game – coincidentally a 1-0 win over Stoke at St Marys.
For pure value we have to side with Stoke here. The longer the game goes on the more the odds are in our favour. As it stands they are too short Southampton anyway.
