Aston Villa have lost attacking supremo Benteke and midfield anchor Delph but have invested already in the likes of Gestede (22 goals last year) Crespo, Ayew, Richards and Sinclair. In Sherwood they have a man’s man of a coach and a lot of players benefit from his approach.  Defender Okore is out injures and Crespo is rated a slight doubt.  Midfield loses Grealish and Gil while striker Agbonlahor is in treatment but should be fine.

 

Bournemouth catch the eye of compilers who through them in as odds on favourites. The Prem though is hugely difficult to adapt to for teams from the lower division. I like Villa with a start and they could even be worth a bet 1x2. We take the safer head to head option of +0.5 Villa – getting paid on draw or the Villa win.
