This game looks sure to be low scoring but the bookmakers are already onto this and the under 2.5 sits around 1.50 or 1-2 which offers little value. Palace and West Ham had the best defences in the bottom half of the table last year and both were pretty solid in most games. Palace were bottom of the goal averages for the whole league while West Ham were amongst the top six of clean sheets in league. They both opened up with narrow defeats, Palace losing 2-1 to Arsenal and Hammers 1-0 to Spurs. I think they will both seek to tighten up and cannot see many goals at all here.
Both score no offers us good value here with only the 1-1 scuppering the bet for the under 2.5 goals. We get the higher margin win to nils also. Although unlikely they are still possible.
