Wigan are struggling with injuries this week and will be missing 6 plaeyrs.  Central defender Ivan Ramis is out for the season with an ACL injury and will be a big miss for Wigan.  They really need some reinforcements in during this window if they want to survive in the EPL for another season.

Sunderland also have their own injury worries, especially in defence.  They will be missing Carlos, Cuellar, Danny Rose and Wes Brown who would all start if fit.  Martin O’Neill has turned to transfers to update his squad and he has brought in Alred N’Diaye from Bursapor, a towering midfielder who likes a challenge, to shore up his midfield.

Wigan really need a win to stop them falling into the relegation zone again and while Sunderland are clear of the drop now they could do with another win to take them up to midtable and well clear of danger. 

The market has Wigan as favourites but with their large injury list and Sunderland’s strong recent form I think they are slightly overpriced.
