Schalke hasn't won in the last three, but we know they got potential. Schalke is still fighting for Champions League football next season too, but then they got to beat teams like Freiburg. I think they will do that. I think they will show Freiburg who's boss in this Bundesliga tie. Schalke -0.75 at 1.93 is good value. Especially as Julian Draxler is fit again and has called on Roberto Di Matteo to field him.
Schalke may still have problems fielding the same 11 twice in a row as injuries and suspensions has ravaged the squad. Nothing new there in other words. The last few seasons have been like that for the Gelsenkirchen outfit. That said, they have great squad depth. Players like Sane has been allowed to shine in the absence of others. Roberto di Matteo has helped them organize, so at least when they go through bad spells nowadays they do not leak goals like in the past.
Freiburg has back to back wins in the Bundesliga and held Wolfsburg for most of the game recently in the DFP pokal. It must be said Freiburg got lucky. Wolfsburg had 15+ chances on the night and should have been up three come the final whistle. The two Bundesliga wins has been to nil against out of form Augsburg and Cologne. In other words, they do not count for much.
No, I stand by my initial comment 1.93 for Schalke -0.75 is value!
