This Champions league second leg quarter final is more or less decided. As you may recall, my betting tip last Champions League match day was for Real Madrid to beat a weakened Dortmund side. Dortmund beat Wolfsburg domestically after the first leg of this quarter final. Here they also saw Piszczek (Full back) return. For this game star striker Lewandowski will be available again too. Defensive midfielder Kehl sits out though due to suspension. Gundogan (Central midfielder), Schmelzer (Full back), Bender (Defensive midfielder) and Weidenfeller (Keeper) are all still missing.

Real Madrid took three strong points this weekend (4-0 away to Sociedad). This result was achieved without Christiano Ronaldo, the best player in the world. CR7 is back for this clash though! Full backs Marcelo and Arbeloa will miss again. Defensive midfielder Khedira and the young striker Jese are also out.

I do expect Jurgen Klopp to go all-in! First of all, he is short on defensive midfield options as both Kehl and Bender are out. And secondly; this is an all or nothing at all match. With Lewandoski, Reus, Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang there is plenty of goal threat.

Real Madrid is likely to protect their 3-0 lead early on, and will more likely than not try to counter with style. When you got CR7 and Bale doing the counter attacking for you that is not a bad strategy. Should Real Madrid get a goal early on that could either give them the confidence needed to dominate Dortmund even away from the Bernabeu. On the flipside, it may make them think “this job is done” and then turn off the roaring engine.

For me it is not an option to back Real at odds of 2.00-2.20. They are 3-0 up, and can control the game if they like. They are away from home and do not need the win.

Also, Dortmund may be down, but they’re not out (yet). The Germans have more players available for selection, and has a top drawer attacking line up. I believe they will be professional to the end, as Klopp and the crowd will accept nothing less.
