Clinch game for both sides here in the race for the runners up spot in Group B of Champions League. Ludogorets of Razgrad (Bulgaria) have acquitted themselves well and have lost by the narrowest of margins away to Liverpool (2-1) and at “home” to Real Madrid (2-1 again) – I say home because they are playing in Sofia which is 300km away from Razgrad. This is their 9th game in the competition so far. Recording 2 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses. They have only managed to beat Dudelange (Luxembourg) and Steaua (Romania) – Basel are in a great position. They go into this one with three points after a surprise 1-0 at home to Liverpool. They lost the opener in Madrid, going down heavily 5-1. If they can take at least 4 points from Razgrad over the two games they will be a strong position as I fancy Liverpool to lose twice to Madrid.
Ludogorets have gone close twice but for me Basel have the European experience. I take them on the Asian line as I just don’t see them losing.
