Zenit St.Petersburg v Gent should be a good game to watch in the UEFA Champions League to night. Zenit has a mighty strong offense (as we saw away to Valencia). Hulk remains the big star, but players like Shatov, Danny and Dzyuba all add to the plethoria of attacking wealth at the disposal of AVB. Hulk took a knock in the recent Zenit game versus Spartak Moscow (2-2), but AVB has declared him fit to play.

I cannot really understand why Zenit would not want to have an attacking mindset tonight. Zenit has not been impressive domestically lately, but for them the Champions League is imperative this season. They really can walk to the russian title normally with the side they have. Also; Gent are without three regular defenders. Johansson and Fokjet have been solid in the Pro League this season. Both of them are sitting out. Gershon is yet to play a game for Gent this season, also he is out. This is obviously going to make the aforementioned Zenit attackers in a merry mood. For AVB and Zenit Faizulin (Central Midfielder, regular) is confirmed out while full back Anyukov is a doubt.

While I do think AVB will attack tonight I also have respect for the attack of Gent. They have scored in their last six competitive matches. They have scored three goals  or more in three matches on the trot. Obviously things are working out for them going forward at the moment. They will take that confidence with them to Russia. Therefore I am opting out of a Asian Handicap bet on Zenit. As I would need to take -1.25 or -1.5 to get any meaningful odds I just shy away. Over 2.5 at 1.77 looks better. Both teams are capable of covering that line alone on a very good night. Both teams have solid attacking qualities, and will not lay down to die in a match where both must be fancying their chances. If 1.77 is a tad short for you there is always the option to do the game live and jump on board when the odds climb north of 2.00. Most likely I will do that myself
