La Liga Primera Predictions – Real Madrid vs Valencia
In the biggest tie of week one in La Liga Primera we have a battle between last year’s champions and the 3rd place finishers. Both clubs achieved their domestic aim last season and will be aiming for the same finishing position this year. This match is a must see and we’ll preview all the action and look at any profitable betting tips.
Real Madrid has kept largely the same squad from last season’s dominant title win. They have moved on a few bit part players who were not in the first team plans such as Gago and Atintop. Unusually for Jose Mourinho he hasn’t looked to strengthen the first team, instead settling with the players who he obviously trusts to bring him back to back titles.
Valencia has lost Spanish international left back Jordi Alba to Barcelona for €12m. The money has been put to good use bringing in a trio of players who will add to the first team, including Gago from Real Madrid.
Total Goals
With the attacking force of Madrid on the field the total goals market is always going to be high. Over 2.5 goals is a tiny 1.44 with the under 2.82. If Madrid start the season like they finished the last then they could have the total beat before half time, but we will need to evaluate their form coming into the season before we can be sure.
Asian Handicap
The Asian market has Madrid as strong favourites at home with the handicap set at -1.75 @ 2.02, with Valencia +1.75 @ 1.92. The market fully expects a dominant home win with plenty of goals and I can’t see anything but that myself.
