England Premier League  2012-13 Preview Part 1

1: Manchester City - Last Season 1st. Best Win Odds 2.37
No major signing as yet from City but they don't need any. Amazing squad with cover in all positions. The experience of a title chase will only benefit the team. Are still looking at bringing players in with Robin Van Persie heavily linked. Hargreaves and Bridge have been moved on and Adebayor along with Tevez are likely to leave too.
Manager: Roberto Mancini is probably City's major weakness. Made mistakes throughout the season, was overly conservative in big games. Realised midway through the season his team was capable of beating anyone and let them off the leash.  Next Manager To Leave:51.0
Star Striker - Sergio Agüero scored the title winning goal against QPR, but he also contributed immensely throughout the season. Scoring 23 goals in 34 last year Agüero will be heading the goal charts again. Top scorer price: 9.00

2:Chelsea - Last Season 6th.Best Win Odds 6.00
It's been a busy summer for Chelsea with major transfers already. In come Oscar, Hazard and Marin and out go Drogba, Kalou and Boswinga. Massive season for Fernando Torres, fresh from his Golden Boot win in Euro 2012. Chelsea have a superb squad and are still looking to add to it with Brazilian Hulk mentioned. Drogba has gone but he never really had an impact in the league last season, only scoring 4 goals.
Manager:Roberto Di Matteo was only to be interim manager after sacking of Villas-Boas in early March. Coinciding with Chelsea fantasic run of form and concluding with Champions League victory in Munich. Di Matteo is a deep thinker of a manager and his teams play an open game. Next Manager To Leave:13.0
Star Striker - Fernando Torres will be checking out the transfer news to see if Chelsea sign another striker. If not he becomes the main man, should be in a position to score many goals as will be supplied by attacking threesome Mata,Marin and Hazard. Only managed 6 goals in 32 games last season.Top Scorer Price:11.0

3:Manchester United - Last Season 2nd. Best Win Odds 3.60
Sir Alex Ferguson will be trying his utmost to get the best available players in to compete with City this year. Kagawa comes in from Dortmund and is exactly the type of player needed. Ferguson is currently trying to woo Brazilian Lucas Moura but seems likely to lose out to Inter. Ji Sung Park is United's only major player to leave with Darren Fletcher possibly retiring due to illness. Nemanja Vidic will be fit for the new season which is a massive plus, having only played 6 league games last year. Ferguson will have to strengthen further as currently his squad are no match for Chelsea never mind City.
Manager: Sir Alex Ferguson has unrivaled experience and success. Has surprisingly simple style and seems to get extra out of his players. Will be tested this season. Next Manager To Leave:67.0
Star Striker - Wayne Rooney comes off the back of yet another mediocre major tournament. His world class credentials called into question again. At club level though
his record is fantastic. Has curtailed the aggression and this seems to have helped him as he frequently wasted energy charging around the pitch. Had a career best return last season with 27 goals in 34 matches. Top Scorer Price: 9.00

4:Arsenal - Last Season 3rd. Best Win Odds 14.00
Arsenal look increasingly likely to lose star man Van Persie in the summer. Having already brought in two top class strikers in Podolski and Giroud. With only Almunia leaving so far Arsenal are looking good for the coming season. The fitness of midfielder Mikel Arteta is key for Wenger as I believe he will be a massive player for Arsenal. If Van Persie stays Arsenal could be looking good for a title crack.
Manager - Arsene Wenger is Arsenal. They have recovered from losing their best players each year and always seem to push on. Wenger's team play expansive football and are a pleasure to watch. Next Manager To Leave: 41.0
Star Striker - Robin Van Persie had an amazing season with 30 goals in 38 games.
Was unplayable at times, linked up especially well with Arteta and Song. Top Scorer Price:11.0

5: Liverpool - Last Season 8th. Best Win Odds 41.0
Liverpool move onto their 3rd manager in 18 months which is very uncharacteristic. The Liverpool squad is packed with quality players but will have another massive change of styles to contend with. Fabio Borini is a Rodgers player so will fit into his system. Andy Carroll isn't which is why the last week has seen him linked with many teams. Returning outcasts Joe Cole and Alberto Aquilani may have roles to play in Rodgers possession and passing style. Dirk Kuyt has left but his importance had lessened over the years. Liverpool's major loss was Lucas Leiva, The Brazilian made a surprising cameo for 20 minutes against Toronto FC which is a remarkable recovery and is a huge boost to the team. Liverpool are looking to Fulham for Clint Dempsey, a good addition to the squad if they can get him.
Manager - Brendan Rogers rise to the top has been meteoric. His teams are well prepared and play a game based around heavy possession of the ball, really wide wingers and creative forwards. Will have players well suited to this game already at Liverpool. Next Manager To Leave:21.0
Star Striker:Luis Suarez has been offered a new and improved deal to keep him at Anfield. Possibly the most exciting player in the premiership. Has ability to beat players and conjure up chances from nothing. Missed part of season through suspension but still managed 11 goals in 31 appearances.  Top Scorer Price 17.0

6th Tottenham - Last season 4th. Best Win Odds 34.0
Spurs finished in the coveted 4th position but missed out on Champions League due to Chelsea winning it.  Manager Redknapp has gone and Villas Boas takes over. They've managed to keep hold of their major players so far but rumours abound of Modric to Madrid. Adebayor has returned to Man City and Corluka along with Kranjcar have left the club.  In comes Vertonghan and Sigurdsson further strengthening Spurs centre.
Manager - Andre Villas Boas was a disaster at Chelsea, he will try to regain his reputation at White Hart Lane. Has excellent knowledge of he game and is a keen tactician. Will be imposing his philosophy at all levels at Spurs. Next Manager To Leave: 26.0
Star Striker: Jermaine Defoe had a tough year on a personal level, and club wise didn't future in as many games as he would've liked. However he still managed to bag 11 goals in 25 games. Will hope Adebayor doesn't return on a permanent transfer or could find appearances limited again. Top Scorer Price: 51.0

7th Newcastle - Last Season 5th. To Place In Top Four 17.0
Newcastle had an excellent season off the back of several shrewd signings. The 1st half of the season belonged to Demba Ba before leaving for Africa Nations in January. After the New Year countryman Papiss Cisse was signed and took over the scoring duties with 13 goals including some goal of the season efforts. Look intent on bringing back Andy Carroll and  have been trying to push a deal through for exciting right full back Mathieu Debuchy. Demba Ba might leave as a few major clubs are interested.
Manager - Alan Pardew was not a manager the Newcastle faithful wanted but he has performed miracles with adventurous play and attacking intent. Has an excellent core side but needs a few careful additions. Next Manager To Leave: 41.0
Star Striker: Papiss Cisse scored 13 in 14 games in 2012 and looked extremely lively. Scored goals from all areas and looks a complete striker. Top Scorer Price: 26.0

8th Everton - Last Season 7th. To Place In Top Six 6.00
Everton continue to punch above their weight on limited resources. The team had their usual slow start to the season. Everton really picked up in January with the addition of Nikica Jekavic. After raiding Rangers again in summer for Steven Naismith, Moyes is looking to add old boy Steven Pienaar to bolster the squad. Manchester United are looking at taking Leighton Baines from Everton, he would be a major loss if it happens.
Manager - David Moyes has continually worked miracles at Everton, on a strict budget with little transfer budget he regularly gets it right. Plays good football and likes the lone striker with attacking midfielders, has more options this season with Naismith. Next Manager To Leave:34.0
Star Striker: Nikica Jelavic signed at the end of January an made an immediate impact with 9 goals in 13 games. Looks lethal with some superb one touch finishes. Top Scorer Price: 34.0

9th Fulham - Last Season 10th, To Place In Top Ten 3.00
Fulham have made some interesting signings already and are looking to get more players
In. Reituer, Petric and Rodallega are all decent signings. Out go club captain Danny Murphy and Andy Johnson. One major problem could be the loss of Clint Dempsey. Huge influential for Fulham, scoring 23 goals in all competitions last year.
Manager - Martin Jol places emphasis on attacking football and made massive changes at Tottenham. Has already made several changes at Fulham. Next Manager To Leave:17.0
Star Striker: Playing in an attacking role the American really excelled last year.  With 17 league goals in 37 games Dempsey started to attract the attention of Liverool. Jol will hope he can keep him but knows his contract is running down and dares not losing him for nothing. Top Scorer Price: 67.0

10th Sunderland - Last Season 13th.  To Place In Top Ten 2.10
Martin O'Neil revitalized Sunderland in November with an initial burst of victories. Tailed of somewhat towards the end of the season to disappoint in 13th. He has made the forwards a priority after losing Asamoah Gyan to Al Ain and Nicklas Bendtner has returned to Arsenal. Sunderland have a fair squad but need major investment to move into the top reaches of the Premier League.
Manager - Martin O'Neil is a motivator and a leader. Simplistic approach to coaching and  strategy. Has played under football's top managers. Next Manager To Leave:41.0
Star Striker: Stephane Sessegnon is more of an attacking midfielder but may be asked to fill in due to their dearth of strikers. Top Scorer Price 101.0.
Teams 11-20 to follow.
