CERCLE BRUGGE - ANDERLECHT : PREDICTIONS

We return to Belgium Jupiler and its Bruges v Brussels but not the main derby match, Cercle are the hosts as Anderlecht come to town.

Cerle Brugge are one of the smaller sides in the league, with just two titles and both won many years ago. Sharing a ground with neighbours Club Brugge but lacking all the success. The Green & Black have been in the top flight since 2003. A league title quote of 500-1 shows you the chances of success are minimal. Cercle Brugge opened up with an away draw at Mons with isn’t a great result.

Anderlecht are the most successful club in Belgium with 32 league titles to go with 5 continental trophies they have won. The side are very short favourites to win the league and are even quoted at odds on in some bookmakers. The side contains some of the better upcoming players locally as well as many players from across the globe. Anderlecht have had a busy preseason, with 6 wins from 7 and 25 goals scored. They picked up another trophy too as they sealed the Belgium Supercup after a narrow win at home to Genk. Anderlecht have surprisingly sold key striker Tom de Sutter to arch rivals Club Brugge, but brought in Luka Milovojevic from Crvena Zvezda. Anderlecht were surprisingly beaten in their opening match, a 3-2 home loss to unfancied Lokeren.

CERCLE BRUGGE - ANDERLECHT: BETTING TIPS

Afte the unlikely loss last week at home to Lokeren the odds on Anderlecht have drifted right out, from an opening 1.55 to around 1.70 now. Anderlecht was not great at all and deserved to lose. I cannot see this happening again though and take them to get off the mark. Anderlecht at 1.72 (bet365) to win.
