CLUB BRUGGE – SPORTING CHARLEROI: PREDICTIONS                

Opening week in Belgium Pro League sees Club Brugge entertain Sporting Charleroi.

Club Brugge are one of the biggest sides in Belgium, with an amazing 13 times (however none since 2005) They are the most successful side in European competition too with runners up medals in Champions League and UEFA Cup. Club Brugge are cast as clear 2^nd favourites for the title but will have a huge fight on their hands as hated rivals Anderlecht are odds on at most bookmakers.

Sporting Charleroi have competed for many years in the top flight of Belgian football without much success. They have been up and down between the top two divisions many times, and as recently as 2011. They have two top tier runners up medals but they were many years ago. Charleroi are amongst the favourites for the drop and will not be challenging at all it seems.

CLUB BRUGGE – SPORTING CHARLEROI: BETTING TIPS    

This game looks very likely to go to the home side. Club Brugge could not have asked for a more straightforward opening tie. In historical matches these sides have met  17 times in Bruges with 13 wins to the home side and just 2 to Charleroi.  Everything points to a comfortable home win,  the odds are quite short though with 1.30 around the best price. I look towards the handicap betting and take Club Brugge -1.5 at 2.00. A nice home win by 2 goals or more looks good here and gets us a winner.
