CRUZEIRO – NAUTICO: PREDICTIONS

Cruzeiro vs Nautico in a match up the home side should win with ease, this is Brazil Serie A though and 2013 has been full of surprises already.

Cruzeiro has been one of the strongest sides over the past few years and has really been consistent over many seasons. With three titles and one as recent as 2003, Cruzeiro are always considered a big name. At their Mineirao stadium they are a match for any side and usually win the majority of their points in front of their patriotic adoring fans. This season they have won 2, drawn 3 and lost 2 with a strong unbeaten start at home as is expected.

Nautico are one of the smallest sides in this year’s Brazil A. Indeed since 1995 the club has only spent 4 seasons  in the top flight and last season’s 12^th place finish was their best since way back in the mid 1980’s. The side has no recognisable players and although limited they are capable of performances.  This season though they have been very ordinary, sitting in 20^th and last with 1 win, 1 draw and 4 defeats and a goal difference of -7 already this could be a poor season for Timbu.
