Esbjerg host Randers in the last game in round 1 in Denmark Superligean.  Both sides were tucked away in midtable last season, Esbjerg in 5^th and Randers in 7^th with just 5 points between them.  There is quite a difference in prices for outright betting with Esbjerg around 25-1 to win but Randers available at 125-1. This can be used as a guide in the early games but is not definitive.  Midfielder’s Rasmussen and Neilson sit out plus attacker Rise while defender Knudsen is a doubt. For the visitors they are missing two key midfielders in Borring and Brock-Madsen with another attacker Junker out. Defender Tamboura is a doubt also.  Randers tend to do well in this fixture and have won 14 of the 30 historical matchups. Even at Esbjerg they have won more than the home side. With three of the last three all won by Randers also.

A close game between two sides who are looking likely for a repeat of last year. They were only separated by a handful of points last season. Randers won all three fixtures last yea. One major factor for me here is that Esbjerg have just travelled from Almaty in Kazahkstan. A round trip of 13,000KM, They played Kairat Almaty in Europa  League on Thursday night and jetlag and tiredness will be a factor here for sure. Randers are a decent bet here.
