Hull host Newcastle at KCOM Stadium in quarterfinal action in EFL cup.  Hull are struggling big time with just 18 points this season with just 2 wins in the last 9 games (1 draw and 6 losses in that time)  Ryan Mason and Sam Clucas are out for the home side. Newcastle are top of the Championship and were just on an 11 game unbeaten run (10 wins and 1 draw) before losing at home to Blackburn. They are without Jesus Gamez but no new injury problems. Indeed they have a few returning men with Jack Colback and Grant Hanley available.  They will rotate some of the bench men in for sure with Benitez using the fringe players in this competition.

Interesting game this one as these two teams could exchange leagues at the end of the season. Hull dont need any more games as they will want to concentrate on surviving for sure.  However Newcastle are in the same boat with all the emphasis being on promotion  and the riches of EPL. So its strength of squad and for me Newcastle shade it. 2.15 or 23-20 on them to win the match at bet365.
