Tasty clash in 1st round Capital One cup as MK Dons face up to Wimbledon. There is huge animosity here between the old and new Wimbledon. MK Dons were givem Wimbledon’s league place a few years back and the entire club moved to Milton Keynes. AFC Wimbledon grew from the ashes and battled all the way up the non league pyramid. MK Dons of League 1 opened up with a strong performance. A 4-2 win against Gillingham despite going 2-0 after 20 minutes. Wimbledon gave a decent performance to draw 2-2 with Shrewsbury.
Odds look massive here on a very strong MK Dons side. The bookmakers have read too much into the heated nature of the game. Wimbledon will do well to get out of League 2, while MK Dons will be challenging for the League 1 title for sure. 1.72 or 8/11 is simply wrong and has to be taken.
