Southampton look a shoe in for this one but looking below the stats of the table alone I think Villa may have a chance here. Southampton are 8th with 14 points from 10 games. They are unbeaten in 4 games going into this one. They are missing some key men here though with Mane, Rodriguez and Shane Long all out. Gaston Ramirez should start here though. Villa go into this one with no manager after giving Sherwood the boot. Respected coach Kevin McDonald comes in under caretaker role and is blessed with a full squad – something Tim Sherwood never had the luxury of for a run of games. Sherwood ostracized Libor Kozak and Charles N'Zogbia and both will come in and likely start.
I think with a full squad, against a Saints side shorn of 3 1st choice strikers. The +1.5 start for Villa seems massive here and I take it with no hesitation even with the problems the Midlands club face.
