Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino is expected to rotate his side quite a bit so I will not focus too much on league results. Last League cup game three fringe players were given their debut. A handful of other starlets are in contention. Danny Fox, Guly do Prado and Tadanari Lee missed out against Liverpool but should all be available for selection here. Last Capital One Cup fixture was away to Barnsley, and Southampton won it 5-1.
Bristol City has had a poor start in League One, but they knocked out Crystal Palace in the last League cup round. Here City has quite a bit of defensive issues. Players out, and fringe players on loan means they most likely will give a few youngsters game time.
