Capital One Cup with struggling Sunderland hosting Milton Keynes at Stadium of Light.

Sunderland are having problems in the top flight and Paulo Di Canio is starting to realise the depth of his problems. With the original squad pulling against him and a few players mandatory suspended by the club it looks like the controversial Italian is in trouble.  Two games have garnered one point with a 1-1 draw at Southampton and a 1-0 home loss to Fulham. Both games were similar in setup as Sunderland played well in the 1^st two thirds but looked lightweight up front. Two games they should have more than one point from.

Milton Keynes sit in 10^th in England League One after an unbeaten start to the season. One win and three draws plus a 2-1 win over Northampton in Capital Cup round 1. The side has a decent core of players supplemented by a few loan players from Premier League. Coach Karl Robinson is one of the new breed of young coaches who will move on to better things.
