BIRMINGHAM - NOTTINGHAM FOREST  PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Birmingham continue their small unbeaten run, they move on  to three games without loss now. The weekend saw a decent away win at Burnley. Birmingham sold star keeper Jack Butland to Stoke but get to keep him for the season. The £4 million for the keeper should be enough to finance the rest  of the season and no other players left. In comes striker Wes Thomas who will add a bit of power to the front line. Birmingham sit in 18th position, just 6 points above the relegation zone. With a record of 8 wins, 10 draws and 11 losses they have had a poor season. Birmingham have no new injury worries either.

Nottingham Forest have suffered themselves form wise with just one in in six matches. Former Birmingham manager Alex McLeish returns to his old club. Despite winning them the league cup he suffered the relegation and brought the club to its knees with a host of expensive signings.  Forest sit in 10th position, only 6 points behind Boro in the last playoff place. With 10 wins, 11 draws and 8 losses Forest have underperformed this year. Forest were active on the transfer day but only in outgoing players. Jermaine Jenas, Chris Morgan and Brendan Maloney all leaving.  New Kuwaiti keepor Khaled Al Rashidi was finally signed early this week and is available.  Adlene Guedioura returns from international duty and defender Daniel Ayala is nearing a return.

Two sides who draw too many facing off in what should be a classic encounter. Neither side can really be trusted and with 21 draws between them this season the price of 3.50 is massive. Ladbrokes must be made to pay for such value as it can be backed as short as 3.10 in other bookmakers. There are rumours of Alex McLeish either resigning or being sacked over the weekend and thats bad news for Forest who will be looking for a third manager of the season. Very close game this and the tie looks great value.
