BLACKPOOL - BARNSLEY PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Blackpool managed to get through the transfer window without losing star men Tom Ince or Alex Baptiste. But they did lose two forwards in Kevin Phillips and Wes Thomas, leaving them a little light up top. Blackpool sit in 14th position in the league with 9 wins, 10 draws and 10 losses. They sit 10 points behind the playoffs but more worryingly only 9 points above the drop zone.  No injury problems for The Tangerines who have brought in Reece Wabara from Man City, the full back could go straight into the team.

Barnsley have a five game unbeaten run ongoing. An excellent run of form that has seen them concede only 1 goal conceded and saw them move through to the 5th round of the FA Cup. Four of the five games have been wins too, teams such as Hull, Millwall and Leeds all vanquished. New coach David Flitcroft has been a revelation, with a no-nonsense approach that has reaped dividends.  Young starlet John Stones has moved on with a deadline deal to Everton. However Barnsley brought in long throw specialist Rory Delap, a seasoned international so no bad replacement! Striker Chris O'Grady come in to replace the outgoing and useless Mido.

Barnsley are like a different side at the moment. Full of confidence and playing well, with a really strong and organised back line. John Stones will be a huge loss but Barnsley are well stocked in the full back area. Blackpool are a side treading water at the moment. They seem a team devoid of ambition and one just looking to cash in. Keeping Ince is decent but then losing two strikers is a waste.
