This clash between two teams who were in the Premier League last season would have been expected to be a top of the table 6 pointer but both teams have really disappointed this year and neither look like they’ll be going straight back up at the first attempt.

Bolton are 10^th in the table with 48 points from 35 matches which leaves them 7 points off a playoff place.  Their recent from has been much improved with 3 straight wins and they are undefeated in their last 6.  They must continue that run here if they are to have any chance of going up this season.

Blackburn are 12^th in the table with 45 points from 35 matches which has them 10 points off the playoffs.  Their form is matching their poor league position and they have not won in 5 matches, losing 3 times.  Blackburn will need to hope manager Mikey Appleton can turn things around with the team over the summer and bring some new faces in and then push for promotion next year.
