BRISTOL CITY - MIDDLESBROUGH PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS
Bristol City made it three games unbeaten after the midweek goalless draw at home to Brighton. For the second successive game they dominated a team above them but failed to put away chances. City were so superior to Brighton you would not have known who was bottom and who was going for promotion. The Robins have a well stocked squad now and are playing with great confidence under respected coach Sean O'Driscoll. Yet to lose at home under his stewardship they are a tough side to visit. With a record of 10 wins, 6 draws and 20 losses they are 24th but are only 3 points from safety. Sam Baldock and Steven Davies are fit and ready to go but Richard Foster will miss this game.
Middlesbrough lost again to lose further ground on the top six. After a late goal looked to have given the North East side all three points they could not hang on to the lead. Conceding twice in the last five minutes to a struggling Huddersfield and losing all three points. Boro looked a shadow of the team who battered league leaders Cardiff last week and were second best for long periods. The Cardiff win was the only victory in six matches and leaves them off the pace in the race for the playoff places. They occupy 8th position with 17 wins, 3 draws and 16 defeats. With a poor goal difference and with teams having a game in hand Boro are in need of a run of wins. Jonathon Woodgate will miss this match but Kieron Dyer is available after resting midweek.
BRISTOL CITY - MIDDLESBROUGH PREDICTIONS: 1X2 BETTING PREVIEW
Bristol City are such a difficult team to beat at Ashton Gate. With a strong looking squad now and well organised by O'Driscoll they have a real chance of survival now. Boro on the other hand are going backwards, 8th now after looking good for automatic promotion before Christmas. City have a full strength squad and with several options look good for the three points here. In midweek they totally dominated a Brighton side who are much better than Middlebrough, only some stout defending by the excellent Seagulls backline kept it at 0-0.
