Burnley lost again and look set for middle table mediocrity. A poor run with no win in five games has saw them drop down the table, they looked good for a possible playoff challenge around the New Year but the bad run has put paid to that. Losses to Birmingham, Brighton and Bolton and draws against two strugglers is a poor return. Burnley sit 12th with 12 wins, 8 draws and 13 losses. They are 8 points behind the playoffs and 9 ahead of the drop zone. Sean Dyche is set to select from an unchanged squad when Burnley host Huddersfield at Turf Moor. Michael Duff and Ross Wallace will not return in time.

Huddersfield battled gamely for a point at the weekend but still sit in a perilous position.  Sitting in 20th position with a 3 point difference between them and the drop zone they know wins are needed now. With a record of 9 wins, 11 draws and 13 losses the side have been conceding heavily and have the unenviable record of worst goal difference.
