Hull travel to Charlton seeking to build on their unbeaten start of the season. Hull so far have played four and have won two with two draws. They beat Huddersfield 2-0 on opening day with a solid performance and then held Wolves 1-1 away which will probably look a good result in a few months time. The 2-2 cup tie with Accrington of League 2 should be ignored as Hull played an entirely different side to the league games. They laboured at times in beating Fulham but they got the win and should improve. Steve Bruce has a formidable squad here for Championship standards and I feel they should be playoffs bound at the very minimum. They have Uruguay international Abel Hernandez available and he battles with two other talented strikers in  Chuba Akpom and Nikola Jelavic. Charlton are unbeaten too, but in typical fashion are 1 win and 2 draws with just 4 goals scored and conceded in those games.  Two away draws with Derby and Nottm Forest are decent while the opening day win over QPR was deserved.  Charltons small squad is creaking though, injuries to Igor Vetokele, Reza Ghoochannejhad and Stephen Henderson, plus doubts over Tony Watt and Chris Solly really stretch them.

 

Charlton have done well so far but I feel Hull have the firepower to undo them.  Charlton are a tight unit but Hull have the squad strength to go to the very top in this division. Take Hull -0.25 at 1.87, we get paid on Hull win, a draw sees half stakes returned.
