Derby has not had a great start to the 2015/2016 Championship season. They have fought back though and now have back to back away wins to Preston and Reading. That has taken them up to 10 points in 7 games and they now sit 12th in the table. They're still without influential midfield dynamo Hughes. Fellow midfielder Bryson is also still out. Right back Chris Baird missed the Reading game and is going to miss again too.
Burnley has done really well this campaign. 4-2-1 so far are good figures. They go into this tie having won four on the trot. Not a shabby effort in a very hard league like the Championship. There is no new injury news from Burnley. They do still miss a couple of starters (including an influential midfielder in Marney). However, that has not stopped them impressing.
So why am I backing Derby? Well, they have finally gotten some momentum going. They'll surely build on that. Burnley may have four wins on the trot, but those have come against out of form, bottom half teams. Still good, but not fantastic if you see what I mean.
I am however not backing Derby 1x2 for this game. I got to give Burnley respect. I rather pick the -0.25 line which pays us back half our stake should this end a draw.
